As I think back on our 2022 Totino-Grace Gala, I am filled with so much gratitude. Thank you. I use those two words often, but they never quite seem to be enough.

This year, our community helped us raise more than $800,000 for the students, faculty, academic departments and co-curricular activities at TG. During our Fund a Need, you generously donated $485,000 towards financial assistance to help over 300 students attend TG.

Whether you made a donation, attended the Gala or purchased a live or silent auction item, YOU helped us reach those goals and work toward our mission of educating our students in a Catholic environment. For this, I thank you.

While we celebrate the fundraising success of the evening, I must also give thanks to those behind the scenes. The months and days leading up to an event like this are filled with hours upon hours of hard work. Thank you to our volunteers: Wendy Koschak, Jonelle Meyer, Lisa Magnotta, Robyn Sitarz, Tara Melsha, Dan Shamp, Jolynn Chmielewski, Dina Preston, Brandy Quinn, Teresa Ponessa, Deb Bjork, Jessica Kiedrowski, Erinn Ortell, Wendy Kocon, Jodi Johnson, Jenny Hansell , Alyssa Donley, Angie Zurek, Maggie McCormick, Amy Twombly, Amy Jaramillo, and Tascha Schaar.

Every member of our faculty and staff committed a few hours last week or Saturday night to help make the Gala possible. All of this was done in addition to their already full workloads. Thank you.

I heard so many positive comments in the rooms on Saturday evening about the auction items we received, the delicious food, and the gorgeous basket displays. And a truly beautiful evening it was. None of that would have been possible without the dedication of TG families like yours. Thank you.

We were extremely fortunate to have the Gewedik family share their personal story about the loss of their husband and father - Jeff ‘85. Their words resonated with many of the people in the room. Thank you, Molly.

These words of thanks don’t just come from me – they come from all of the students and faculty and staff who make up the TG family. Your support of the Gala means you believe in them – in their work, their lives and their futures.

Our next Totino-Grace Gala will be held on November 18, 2023.  Hope to see you all there again.
