Celebrating the 15th Year of the Kathleen Murphy Scholars Program

This year, we proudly celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Kathleen Murphy Scholars Program at Totino-Grace High School! Since its inception, this prestigious program has nurtured the talents and aspirations of exceptional students, fostering a tradition of academic excellence, leadership, and curiosity. Over the years, the program has provided countless opportunities for students to grow, explore, and innovate in ways that extend beyond the classroom.

One of the hallmarks of the Kathleen Murphy Scholars experience has been the dynamic and engaging seminars offered to students. These sessions have brought in expert speakers, facilitated thought-provoking discussions, and introduced scholars to new perspectives on the arts, environment, politics, and global issues. Whether diving into the intricacies of international policy or exploring how bees form their hives, these seminars have broadened horizons and inspired students to think critically about the world around them.

Beyond the seminars, the capstone projects completed by our scholars over the years have been nothing short of extraordinary. Students studied and presented their learning on topics related to cancer research, physics and dance, immigration, the impact of NIL on athletes, and so much more.These capstones not only showcase the intellectual curiosity of our scholars but also reflect their commitment to scholarly research. 

As we mark this milestone anniversary, we celebrate the achievements of past and present Kathleen Murphy Scholars, whose hard work and dedication have shaped the program’s legacy. Their contributions continue to inspire future cohorts, setting a high standard for academic and personal growth. Scholars have also appreciated being a part of a group that is intellectually motivated and driven to succeed.
