Mental Health Awareness Week at TG

The Totino-Grace Counseling Office, in collaboration with students, administrators, teachers, and campus ministers, will offer our school's fourth annual Mental Health Awareness Week from November 27 to December 1. The purpose of this week is to educate students about the impact of common mental health diagnoses such as anxiety and depression. This year’s theme is Dare to Be Known. Throughout the week, students will be challenged to be their authentic selves and courageously embrace what they bring to the TG community. We encourage parents to join us in honoring the uniqueness of each child and to maintain an open dialogue around their child’s mental health needs.

Some activities offered throughout the week will include:

  • Daily prayer and special intentions during weekly Mass focused on mental health
  • Art Room activities after school on Monday and a collaborative art project during lunch
  • Service outreach opportunities on Tuesday and Thursday through Lasallian Youth
  • A restful space outside the Campus Ministry office focused on self-care on Wednesday
  • Depression and anxiety screenings for any interested student
  • Improv for all hosted by Ms. Mary Fahlstrom on Friday after school
  • Text, Talk, Act -- a peer-led, guided conversation about mental health during lunches on Friday

Feel free to reach out to the school counseling office with questions.
