This is a co-op team with Coon Rapids High School.
The Totino-Grace and Coon Rapids Co-Op Swim Team focuses on skill development as well as character development. The program is set up to encourage hard work, perseverance, and commitment in their athletes.
No swimming or diving experience is necessary to join and everyone gets to compete, regardless of ability- we do not cut athletes. All you need is a swimsuit and goggles!
Practices are held at Northdale Middle School Pool, generally from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Boys swim and dive season begins in November and ends in late February.
Totino-Grace has a co-op swim team with Coon Rapids High School that started in the 2019-2020 school year. In the first season Totino-Grace was a part of the team, they had their highest finish, 4th place, at the Section 7AA True Team meet since 2008. They followed up that performance with a 5th place finish at Sections, their highest since 2008. Since then, the team has had a 2nd and a 4th place finish at the Section meet. Since that time, two Totino-Grace athletes have qualified and participated in the State Meet, receiving All-State Honors and five Totino-Grace Athletes have received All-Conference Honors.
In the 2023-2024 season, Totino-Grace athletes helped set four top 15 All-Time Records for the team at the Section 7AA Meet, where the team placed 4th.
Hali Scholl- Head Coach
Hali Scholl is the Head Coach for the Boy's Swimming and Diving team. Hali has coaching for the Boys Swimming and Diving team for two years and has prior coaching experience through another high school program. Originally from North Dakota, Hali participated in competitive swimming in the Fargo area for over 10 years. Hali has a passion for not only helping student athletes meet their potential in the sport, but also build their character and leadership skills to create well-rounded people.
Hali is a member of the Minnesota High School Coaches Association and the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association and is a National Federation of State High School Associations Certified Interscholastic Coach. She was named Section 7AA Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2022-2023 season. Hali works as a Middle School Science Teacher.
Bobby Moody- Diving Coach
Bobby is a Coon Rapids Alumni and was a collegiate diver at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Bobby has experience coaching both diving and gymnastics and is excited to be back at Coon Rapids, coaching the CRHS and Totino-Grace divers.
Jack Law- Assistant Coach
Jack attended Andover High School where he swam for six years and was a captain during his senior year, graduating in 2018. His high school swimming experiences were foundational in shaping his outlook and character, and Jack looks forward to helping create a fun, welcoming community for the swimmers!
Outside of coaching, Jack still swims for fun and he enjoys hiking, reading, and playing board games. Jack works as a software developer.
Dan Hauck- Assistant Coach
Dan is excited to be an assistant coach for the Coon Rapids swimming team and Head Coach Hali Scholl! Dan has over 30 years of experience in competitive endurance sports and has been a lifetime student of swimming, sports psychology, and nutrition. Dan still competes in master’s swimming, Ironman Triathlon, and marathons. Dan’s passion is to help student-athletes become well rounded individuals and pursue their goals.
Anthone Roether- Assistant Coach
Anthone is a recent Coon Rapids graduate and was a member of the team for six years before graduating and going to Concordia University, St. Paul to study exercise science. After his graduation, he came back next season to begin coaching. Anthone looks forward to giving back to the team that helped form who he is today as well as providing a constructive environment for new and returning athletes.
