May 29 GRADUATION DAY
9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Prayer, Senior Breakfast, and Graduation Practice - Attendance is required.
6:00 p.m. Graduation in the Totino-Grace Stadium
May 29 is a required day for seniors. It begins with prayer and a senior class breakfast followed by graduation practice. The activities will conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m. Students should be dressed up for the senior breakfast (no jeans, no shorts, etc.) and graduation practice. Student Handbook rules will be enforced all day.
Graduates are expected to return to school by 5:15 p.m. with their cap and gown for the graduation ceremony. For the ceremony, the young men are expected to be dressed in dress pants, shirt, and tie. The young women are expected to wear dress slacks or a dress. All graduates are to wear comfortable dress shoes. Again, Student Handbook rules will be enforced. Students are not allowed to decorate their caps and they may only wear accessories distributed by TG.
PARENTS WHO ARE TG ALUMNI
We would like to recognize parents of our graduates who are also alumni of Totino-Grace High School. Each alumni parent will receive a blue and gold cord to wear to graduation as an honor of having graduated as an Eagle. Your senior will receive the cord(s) when they pick up their cap and gown.
ACADEMIC AND FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
Students who are short more than three (3) credits, or who have not fulfilled TG’s course requirements, will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. Diplomas are awarded to students who have fulfilled the following obligations:
- Completed all academic requirements.
- Paid all outstanding financial obligations in full, including tuition and graduation fee.
- Returned or paid for lost textbooks, classroom materials, missing/damaged laptop components and library books.
- Completed detention, if assigned.
- Completed senior retreat obligation.
GRADUATION TICKET INFORMATION
We will not be collecting tickets for Graduation in the stadium. The stadium will open at 4:45 p.m.
In the event that the weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony, the gymnasium will host graduation. We will be requiring tickets inside. All families will receive five tickets. Graduates do not need a ticket. Each family is only allowed five tickets, with the option to request three additional tickets if needed, in the event of an indoor ceremony. Please email Meghan Weeks if you need additional tickets (meghan.weeks@totinograce.org).
We will stream our graduation ceremony LIVE on the Totino-Grace website. Family or friends unable to attend the ceremony can still watch it on May 29 at www.totinograce.org.
SPECIAL NEEDS SEATING AT GRADUATION
We have a limited number of seats at the graduation ceremony for people with special needs.
This includes people with limited mobility that prohibits climbing the bleachers. Due to high demand for such seating, only one seat can be used for the person with a special need, and one seat for a companion. Entire families cannot sit in this area. Seating is first come, first served; no advanced reservations are required. Wheelchair space will be accommodated as needed. Please see any usher for seating assistance. Please email Meghan Weeks, meghan.weeks@totinograce.org, with any special seating requests.
We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you and your family.
Sincerely,
The Totino-Grace Administrative Team
