Eagles Fly Scholarship

Eagles Fly is a travel scholarship awarded to TG students in grades 9-12 who:

• Are passionate about language and culture.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Want to travel on the Spain 2025 trip. 

The Tower of Babel is a story of people’s failed attempts to reach God by their own efforts. God confused their language so that they were not able to communicate with one another, and therefore were unable to complete their task. One interpretation of this story is that God is saying to God’s people that the way to God is not through our own means, but through coming together with others who are different. Language study is one way people can learn more about God and about one another.

Recipient requirements:

• Be enrolled in Spanish at Totino-Grace.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm regarding the study of language and culture.
• Demonstrate financial need as determined by the TG Financial Aid Office.
• Be planning to travel on the Spain 2025 trip. 
• Complete the application for the scholarship at least three months before travel.

Scholarship amount: Up to $2,000 per year will be awarded, the sum of which will be divided among those who are awarded the scholarship.

Recommendation from a current or former TG World Language Teacher:

• Request a recommendation from a current or former TG World Language teacher. The recommendation does not have to be in the form of a letter. 
• Please have the teacher send the recommendation to Nora Flom at nora.flom@totinograce.org.

Parent or Guardian Statement

• I affirm that the information contained in this application is true and accurate, and that all questions except the parent or guardian recommendation were completed by the student applicant.
• I authorize the scholarship committee to confer with the admissions office and the business office to determine financial need and to ensure that the family is in good standing with tuition and fees.
• I understand that all documents and application information will be shared only with the scholarship committee; the information shared with the committee will be kept confidential.
• I understand that these awards are funded through a scholarship administered by Totino-Grace High School and can only be used if the student is currently enrolled in a world language at TG and intends to travel with a TG World Language sponsored travel abroad opportunity.
