Technology
Technology at Totino-Grace supports the academic and administrative needs of our school community including our faculty, staff, students and families. We recognize that our students live in a digital world that goes beyond Totino-Grace; a world which requires them to have transferable skills. We are committed to providing a technological environment which enriches the learning process, facilitates collaboration, and fosters the skills necessary for success both inside and outside of Totino-Grace.
With the goal of best preparing our students to digitally live, learn, and work in the 21st Century, our classrooms incorporate technologies including: M1 MacBook Air laptops, Mimio® interactive whiteboards, the Google suite of products, and other Web 2.0 tools.
Totino-Grace educators participate in ongoing training to learn how best to instruct the students in our classrooms today.
Although the integration of a digital device greatly enhances student learning and skill development it does not replace the teacher; in fact, good teachers are needed more than ever to guide students in their learning. Good pedagogy is still required, and a strong curriculum based on standards is still essential. The key to student success will continue to be the personal relationship that exists between student and teacher. Totino-Grace teachers understand and follow the call of St. John Baptist de La Salle to touch the hearts of their students.
