Fine Arts Endorsement Program

Totino-Grace High School is proud to announce the launch of its Fine Arts Endorsement Program, an exciting new opportunity for students to be recognized for their exceptional commitment to the arts! The program supports the Portrait of a Graduate vision by specifically and intentionally fostering competencies in Curiosity, Creativity, and Innovation (CCI). It honors students who prioritize involvement in the arts throughout their time at TG.

Medallion and official honor certification at graduation.
Excellent credentials for college and scholarship applications.
A well-rounded, arts-rich high school experience.
Students in the program cultivate discipline, creativity, and leadership, skills that extend beyond the stage, studio, and classroom.

Eligibility & Timeline

Apply at the start of sophomore year (*We will allow juniors and seniors to apply in the fall of 2025).
Freshman year Fine Arts courses count toward program completion.
Multi-year commitment that includes coursework, co-curricular involvement, performance attendance, portfolio creation, and academic achievement.

Comprehensive Fine Arts

Comprehensive Fine Arts

Fine Arts Credits – eight total representing a variety of fine arts courses: one year (two credits) must be honors level.
Co-Curricular Hours – 240 hours (60 hours/year); 100 (25/year) can be outside TG with approval; must represent a variety of fine arts areas.
Performance/Show/Exhibit Attendance – attend six collegiate-level or higher events; must represent a variety of fine arts areas.
Written reflections for each attended event (six).
Academic Standing – maintain a ‘B’ average or higher in Fine Arts courses.
Senior Showcase – participate in a capstone performance / exhibit.
Portfolio – keep a record of performances, artwork, events, reflections, and programs to be displayed at the senior showcase; this will include a final capstone artist's statement.

MODIFIED REQUIREMENTS for students beginning the program in 2025.

Music

Music

Eight music credits; one year (two credits) must be honors level.
Participate in all required concerts.
Participate in two Solo & Ensemble Events.
Co-Curricular Hours – complete 240 hours (60 hours/year); 100 (25/year) can be outside TG with approval.
Performance/Show/Exhibit Attendance – attend six collegiate-level or higher events; at least three music be music events, and at least one must represent a different arts focus.
Written reflections for each attended event (six).
Academic Standing – maintain a ‘B’ average or higher in Fine Arts courses.
Senior Showcase – participate in a capstone performance/exhibit.
Portfolio – keep a record of performances, events, reflections, and programs to be displayed at the senior showcase; this will include a final capstone artist's statement.

Eight visual arts credits; one year (two credits) must be AP level.
Participate in two external, juried art shows.
Co-Curricular Hours – 240 hours (60 hours/year); 100 (25/year) can be outside TG with approval.
Performance/Show/Exhibit Attendance – attend six collegiate-level or higher events; at least three must be visual arts events, and at least one must represent a different arts focus.
Written reflections for each attended event (six).
Academic Standing – maintain a ‘B’ average or higher in Fine Arts courses.
Senior Showcase – participate in a capstone exhibit.
Portfolio – keep a record of artwork, events, reflections, and programs to be displayed at the senior showcase; this will include a final capstone artist's statement.

Fine Arts Credits – eight total; two theater classes; either one year (two credits) must be honors level or an independent theater study/project option may be substituted.
TG Theater Productions - participation (with at least 50 hours/year) in nine TG theater productions.
Co-Curricular Hours – 240 hours (60 hours/year); 100 (25/year) can be outside TG with approval (*Theater Production participation hours can count towards this total).
Performance/Show/Exhibit Attendance – attend six collegiate-level or higher events; at least three must be theater events, and at least one must represent a different arts focus.
Written reflections for each attended event (six).
Academic Standing – maintain a ‘B’ average or higher in Fine Arts courses.
Senior Showcase – participate in a capstone performance/exhibit.

Application Process

In order to be accepted into the TG Fine Arts Endorsement Program you will need to complete the following:

Submit the ONLINE APPLICATION.
Schedule a brief DISCUSSION for Approval with one of the Fine Arts Staff.
Both the student applicant and a parent/guardian of the applicant must read and sign the LETTER OF INTENT.
