Part-time Bus Driver

Totino-Grace High School is seeking a part-time charter/athletic team bus driver to provide our students and student-athletes with safe and friendly travel to and from events that are played at locations off of the Totino-Grace High School campus.

Required:

  • A valid CDL Driver’s License with the necessary endorsements
  • Training provided if necessary
  • Driver’s license must be in good standing

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, friendly and dependable transportation
  • All other duties as assigned by Transportation Director
  • Follow Totino-Grace High School mission and philosophies

Commitment:

  • Average 10-15 hours per week between August 15 and May 20
  • Driving would assigned as necessary

Dormitory Resident Assistant

The Totino-Grace Resident Assistants are responsible for Assisting the Residence Center Director with the overall management of the dormitory. The main responsibilities include supporting:

  • Safety and well-being of the students
  • Creation of a positive dormitory atmosphere
  • Facilitation of student development
  • Building a sense of community in the dormitory

Full-Time/Part-Time/Benefits: .7 FTE (approximately 24-28 hours per week), not benefit eligible

Probation Period: Approximately ten month position, starting on or about August 12, 2019 and ending June 10, 2020

Candidate Qualities:

  • Talented, self-motivated young men and women interested in working with high school students living in the TG Residence Center.

  • Candidates who are available to supervise dorm students during several shifts per week, including weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

  • Candidates with interest in creating activities for students, assisting with homework, serving as a positive and respectful role model, mentoring students and creating and maintaining a safe and disciplined “home” environment.

  • Candidates who are available to work both weekdays and weekends. Candidates should also expect to be available on non-school days when the dormitory is open, including some school vacations and holidays.

General Responsibilities:

  • Supervise dormitory residents

  • Assist in providing an environment that's safe, friendly and comfortable

  • Prepare students for each day's activities through informational sessions

  • Work closely, cooperatively, and amicably with all staff members

  • Monitor and ensure appropriate student behavior

  • Attend all staff training sessions and meetings as directed

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Dormitory Director

Desired Qualifications:

  • Two years of college or related dormitory experience

  • Strong interest  and experience working with adolescents

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • An ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a team

  •  Interest or experience working and living with teenagers.

  • Knowledge of various cultures and their customs

  • Knowledge or experience serving in a multicultural environment

  • Interest in living and working in community

  • Valid US driver’s license required. Ability to drive up to a 12 passenger van.

Part-Time Grounds Assistant

Part-Time Grounds Assistant (not benefit eligible)

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday - Friday

Summary: Totino-Grace High School seeks an experienced part-time grounds assistant to provide a variety of outdoor maintenance services for the campus. Be willing to work both independently and as a team member and accept assignments requested by the Director of Facilities & Technology or supervisor. Primary responsibilities are to perform routine upkeep, which includes: raking, mowing, snow removal, salting, and litter clean up of the property.

Essential job functions include the following:

  • Be responsible for preparation of fields, track, courts and grounds for athletic, co-curricular, and other public events as necessary.
  • Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes cleaning and removing of trash.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of supplies and equipment owned by the school.
  • Plowing and Shoveling of light snow from stairs and sidewalk areas.
  • Responsible for portion of mowing schedule
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Horticulture experience (shrubberies, turf, and plantings)
  • Skid Steer experience
  • Plowing experience
  • Commercial mower operating experience
  • Basic mechanical knowledge (small engines, irrigation, light electrical)
  • Ability to learn procedures, methods and schedules.
  • Ability to confer with school administrators and supervisor regarding grounds needs, schedules
  • and concerns.
  • Be willing to work during the week, evenings and weekends when deemed necessary by weather or supervisor.

Girls Soccer C Squad Coach

Totino-Grace seeks a 9th grade C squad girls soccer coach to provide an opportunity for the development of the fundamental skills necessary to participate in a high school varsity athletic program. This coach will oversee all aspects of the 9th grade team and assist with any other responsibilities within the program as assigned. Assistant Director of International Admissions

This posting is for a part-time, 12-month position.  Recruiting efforts span the entire year and may be extensive in duration (8-10 weeks/year).  Office hours are flexible, depending on the recruitment season.

The Assistant Director of International Admissions is responsible for coordinating and executing international student recruitment efforts for Totino-Grace High School.  This candidate in this position will represent Totino-Grace both domestically and internationally in meeting prospective, current, and former students and their families; attending education fairs; conducting visits to schools and advising centers; and hosting online recruiting events.  This position focuses on assisting students through the entire application cycle, from the point of lead generation through to enrollment.

This position is focused on communication and outreach and the candidate of choice will serve as the primary individual responsible for developing and executing both direct and armchair recruitment initiatives.  The candidate will maintain a high level of contact with applicants as well as their families and possible agents, providing exceptional customer service and personal attention.

Essential Functions:

  • Represent Totino-Grace at education fairs, school visits, online events, advising centers, and other locations —  both domestically and internationally — to drive international enrollment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students from the point of lead generation through to enrollment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment partners.
  • Contribute to the Admissions social media sites, including WeChat.
  • Organize data to assist the Directors of Enrollment in making strategic, data-informed enrollment decisions.
  • Maintain current market presence while also identifying and seeking out new markets and opportunities for partnership.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the school’s mission and strategic enrollment goals and how they relate to international recruitment and admissions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the school’s current admissions requirements, campus culture, student demographics, and events.
  • Research international education systems, global trends, current events, and market developments that may impact international recruitment.
  • Prepare presentations, customized for specific audiences, as effective marketing tools.
  • • Support students with the pre-arrival process, namely the immigration process, travel plans, and pathway to enrollment.
  • Maintain a strong and up-to-date understanding of the school’s admissions requirements, campus culture, student demographics, and events.
  • Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) with the Department of Homeland Security's Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
  • Maintain current international family communication.
  • Perform all other duties as needed and deemed appropriate for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in international relations/development, marketing, communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in international education, particularly recruitment and admissions.
  • Familiarity with global education systems and experience traveling independently overseas (preferred).
  • Ability to speak a foreign language (preferred).
  • Demonstrated excellence in public speaking skills, cross-cultural communication, and attention to detail.
  • The applicant must be receptive to use of new technologies while also able to utilize the web and social media platforms for recruitment.  Familiarity with Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is a plus.
  • Evidence of a strong work ethic, in and out of the traditional office setting, constantly recognizing the importance of upholding the integrity of Totino-Grace High School both domestically and abroad.  The ideal candidate will have an extremely high level of energy as well as grit, creativity, and perseverance.

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and reach.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a half-time, 12-month position.  Office hours may be flexible, including summer hours.  Evening and weekend work should be expected. While traveling for recruitment, employee may work longer hours than usual.

Travel:

Given the nature of this position, both international and domestic travel is required.  Recruiting efforts span the entire year and may be extensive in duration (8-10 weeks/year).

A valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.

A valid passport is required for this position.  This position requires overseas travel. Some evening and weekend work, and overnight travel are expectations of this position.
