Coaching Staff
Varsity Staff
Jay Anderson, Head Coach
Coach Anderson has been with TG since 1997, teaching in the Science Department and a school Technology Coordinator. He was the Offensive Coordinator for 18 years and 2020 marks his first year as Head Coach. In 2010, the MN Football Coaches Association honored Coach Anderson with the prestigious Assistant Coach of the Year Award! He attended Bethel College and has four children with his wife Kelly. He is a real student of the game of football but also enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with family.
Anthony LaPanta, Defensive Backs Coach
Coach LaPanta has been with the TG football team since 2008. He is a graduate of TG and then attended St. John's University. As a broadcaster, he works for Fox Sports North, does play-by-play voice for the Minnesota Wild, and hosts Twins Live. His work at FSN has also included coverage of the Timberwolves, Gophers, and Vikings. Coach LaPanta has covered football since 1991. He and his wife, Margo, have four children who attended TG.
Brian Litecky, Running Backs Coach
Coach Litecky has been a coach for TG since 2000. He graduated from TG and then attended the University of South Dakota on a football scholarship. He also teaches at TG as a social studies teacher. Coach Litecky resides in Blaine with his wife, Jessica, and they have two children.
Chad Anderson, Defensive Coordinator
Coach Anderson has been coaching MN high school football since 1991, having coached at several schools in the Twin Cities. He completed this teaching degree at St. Cloud State and now teaches biology at CDH. He and his wife, Jodie live in Burnsville with their son Darby.
Tom Rooker, Offensive Line Coach, Special Teams Coordinator
Coach Rooker has been coaching at TG since 2015. He has an extensive football background, previously coaching at many other schools in the Twin Cities. He currently teaches at St. Croix Catholic School and resides in Stillwater with his two sons.
RYAN FERKINHOFF
Running Backs Coach
Ryan is in his 8th year teaching math and coaching football at Totino-Grace. Ryan graduated from St. Anthony Village HS in 2011, where he was a three- sport letterwinner, and from Hamline University in 2015 with a double major in Math and Secondary Ed. At Hamline, Ryan was a three-year starting running back and selected twice to the MIAC All Sportsmanship Team. In addition to coaching football, Ryan also coaches TG girl’s basketball in the Winter and TG baseball in the Spring.
TIM PASTOORS
Linebackers Coach & Technology
Tim begins his 21st year coaching in the Eagle Football Program coaching the linebackers. This is Tim’s 16th year working at TGHS, and his 9th year serving as Director of Facilities and Technology for the school. Tim is also the Technology Coordinator on the football staff, inputting data from games and editing video. In 2007, Tim served as a technology intern for the Minnesota Vikings. Tim graduated from TG in 2002 after playing varsity football for three years and received many honors in his football career.
FRANK JACKSON
Defensive Backs Coach
This is Frank’s 3rd season with the Eagles. He comes to TG with extensive coaching experience. He previously coached at Cretin Derham Hall, defensive backs and wide receivers 1997-2000, 2002-2020 and Minnetonka, wide receivers in 2001 as a varsity assistant coach. He also worked at the US Army All American Bowl Game in San Antonio, TX and from 2012 to present as West Operations Staff. Frank graduated from St. Martin De Porres High School in Detroit, MI where he was a Blue Chip All-American. Choosing to attend the University of Minnesota, he landed a starting job at cornerback for the Golden Gophers in 1987. Jackson was a four-year starter with the Gophers, playing both corner and safety positions and team Co- Captain in 1990. He is also the proud parent of Gabrielle, Max and Sydney. Jackson is also the very proud grandfather to Macklin, MacKai, MacKinley Rice and very proud to announce a new grandchild, Mackari Rice. Jackson considers his wife (Beth) as his best friend in the whole world. Jackson has been employed with the Minnesota Department of Corrections as a Corrections Security Case Manager-Career since 1993 (30 years).
JIMMY CARLSON
Defensive Line Coach
This is Jimmy’s 8th year with the blue and gold, and his 9th year coaching high school football. Jimmy is a 2012 Centennial HS grad where he played football for the Cougars. He recently graduated from the University of Minnesota and is a Social Studies teacher. Jimmy lives in Shoreview with his wife Alyssa, their beautiful daughter, Charlotte, and sons, William and Jack, born in July.
KAI BARBER
Full Back & Tight End Coach
Kai Begins his third year on the football staff. Kai graduated from TG in 2014 while playing football, hockey, and track & field during his years. Kai continued to play multiple sports at Saint John’s University. Kai is currently a Senior Financial Analyst at Optum and Lives in Minneapolis.
ANTHONY ALLEN
Junior Varsity Defensive & Offensive Line Coach Anthony is in his 1st year coaching football at Totino-Grace, coaching the JV defensive/offensive line. Anthony graduated from Saint Pius X high school in Houston, TX in 2009, where he was a 3 sport letterman. Following a 4 year football career as a defensive end at Briar Cliff University, Anthony graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
CALEB SEIBEN
Wide Receiver Coach
This is Caleb’s 1st year coaching at Totino Grace. He is a 2017 graduate from Anoka High School where he played football, basketball, and competed in the pole vault. He graduated in December of 2021 from the University of Northwestern, St. Paul where he earned a degree in Data Analytics. He was a 4-year starter at UNW, spending his freshman year playing corner and remaining years as a receiver/return specialist. Caleb is currently a Risk Analyst at TPAC Underwriters, Inc. in Blaine, and spends his non-coaching evenings selling Real Estate. Caleb and his elementary school sweetheart, Lauren, have been married for 3 years and live in Shoreview with their dog, Tucker.
YVETTE WOELL
Director of Football Operations
The 2022 season is Yvette’s 9th season on the TGFB staff as the Director of Football Operations. Yvette oversees the daily operations of the program, the football managers, records daily attendance, and serves as a liaison to our trainer for injury reports. Yvette and her husband Jamie live in New Brighton. Their daughter Rachel, TG class of ‘15 and our beloved football manager, passed away in September 2014 of brain cancer. Yvette enjoys volunteering, gardening, college basketball, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Ryan Ferkinhoff, Running Backs Coach
Coach Ferkinhoff has been teaching math and coaching football at TG since 2015. He was a 3-sport letter-winner from his HS before going on to attend Hamline University. There, he was a three-year starting running back and was selected twice to the MIAC All Sportsmanship Team. In addition to football, Coach Ferkinhoff also coaches TG girl's basketball and TG baseball.
Tim Pastoors, Linebackers Coach
Coach Pastoors has been coaching at TG since 2003. He is also the Technology Coordinator on the football staff, inputting data from games and editing videos. In 2007, he served as a video intern for the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Pastoors graduated from TG, playing varsity football for three years and received many honors in his football career. He is also the Director of Facilities and Technology for TG.
Jim Carlson, Defensive Line Coach
Coach Carlson has been coaching at TG since 2015. He played football in high school before attending the University of Minnesota. He is a social studies teacher and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Alyssa.
Nick Christopherson, Offensive Line Coach
Coach Christopherson has been with TG since 2019, having graduated from TG a few years earlier. He played football in high school and then went on to play at Bemidji State University. He is student teaching at White Bear Lake as a social studies teacher.
Freshman Staff
Seth Pugh, Freshman Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator
Coach Pugh has been coaching football at TG since 2010. He graduated from TG and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from St. Mary's University, where he played baseball for four years. He has been the 3rd grade teacher at St. Raphael Catholic School since 2011. He has also been on the TG baseball staff since 2007. Coach Pugh lives in Blaine with his wife, Angie, and their son.
CHAD STAY
Linebacker Coach & Defense Coordinator
This is Chad’s 1st year back coaching football at TG. He previously coached on the Freshmen staff in 2006 & 2007. He coaches the Freshmen linebackers and coordinates the defense. Outside of coaching, Chad enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. Chad is a Senior Program Manager at Life Fitness and resides in Maple Grove.

Freshmen Wide Receivers
& Defensive Backs Coach
This is Rich’s 1st year coaching football at TG and will be helping coach the Freshman Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs. He has coached youth baseball and football over the past 5 years. Rich graduated from Grand Junction High School in Colorado and was a four year letterman inTrack and Football. After High School, he joined the US Army, serving as a Combat Medic. Rich obtained his Undergraduate Degree from Cal State Hayward and graduated with honors with an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He spent 20 years at IBM and is currently an executive at CitiusTech. Rich is happily married to Ann and they have three children, Ashley 18, Kati (TG 24) and Connor (TG 27). Rich enjoys spending time chasing his kids, helping youth and golfing.
TYLER KOLL
Freshman Running Backs
& Wide Receivers Coach
This is Tyler’s 1st year coaching football at Totino- Grace. He coaches the Freshman running backs and wide receivers. Tyler graduated from Rocori High School in 2018, where he played football and wrestled, and from Saint John’s University in 2022 where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Besides coaching football, Tyler is a special education teacher at Coon Rapids High School.
JOHN BEDNARCZYK
Freshman Offensive Line Coach
John is in his 1st year coaching football at Totino-Grace. John graduated from Totino-Grace in 2013, where he was a two-sport letterwinner. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he played football for five years. He has been an engineer in the energy industry since graduating in 2018.

Yvette Woell, Director of Football Operations
Yvette has been on the TGFB staff since 2014.
