Fitness Center Philosophy and Beliefs


It is the philosophy and the intent of Totino-Grace High School to provide its community with the best possible fitness program. The Fitness Center will be utilized to promote physical fitness and well being of the student body as well as the community.

The fitness center staff shall work cooperatively with coaches, teachers, and groups that are interested in the promotion and development of programs using the Fitness Center. The first priority for usage of the Fitness Center lies with our students. The Center was constructed with this primary purpose in mind.  

The Fitness Coordinator shall be responsible for establishing rules and procedures for the effective and efficient use of the Fitness Center. Curriculum and program offerings shall be established to meet the needs of our students as well as the community needs. Rules, regulations and guidelines shall be established to assure the safe and appropriate use of the facility.

About Laurus Athletic Rehab & Performance:
Laurus Athletic Rehab & Performance (Roseville, MN) is a private company owned and operated by Julie Eibensteiner PT, DPT, CSCS, a proud Totino-Grace graduate. Laurus specializes in highly-specialized physical therapy, strength & conditioning programming, and biomechnical assessment of competitive athletes. Laurus has partnered with the Totino-Grace community since 2015 to provide strength & conditioning support to all of Totino-Grace athletics, numerous student activities, and general assistance within the fitness center for students and staff. 
About the Totino-Grace Strength & Conditioning Coordinator:
Michael Kiely MS, SCCC is the Director of Biomechanics at Laurus where he leads all athlete testing/analysis and provides strength & conditioning support.  He is originally from Collingswood, NJ and attended Camden Catholic High School playing three sports:  football, swimming and lacrosse. Kiely graduated from Marquette University with Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Masters of Science in Clinical and Translational Rehabilitation Science with an emphasis in Biomechanics and Kinesiology.  While at Marquette, he played rugby and assisted Marquette Sports Performance as an Undergraduate Strength and Conditioning Coach. In addition to his educational background, he holds one of the most reputable strength and conditioning professional certifications: (SCCC) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
