Marty Schutz '84 wishes to invite members of the Totino-Grace community to a music marathon for St. Emily's Church on April 12 at Moe's Restaurant in Mounds View. The music marathon will feature "The Bill & Tom Show" performing one-hit wonders from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The goal is to keep the band playing from 7:00 p.m. to midnight with all proceeds going to St. Emily's Church in Emily, Minnesota. All are welcome!

About a year ago, Totino-Grace alumni Mick Cermak '97, Jon Cermak '93, Pete Cermak '90, Dan Krocak '97 Jim Krocak '93, and several others decided to start a local chapter of a national nonprofit organization called Dollars for Scholars. The mission of the organization is to provide renewable college scholarships and one-on-one mentoring to high achieving students with limited financial resources.

They are currently working with Patrick Henry, a high school in North Minneapolis. Dan writes, "We all feel so lucky to have had the support and resources to attend and finish college, and we know there are way too many kids out there existing in a completely different situation. Starting Minneapolis HOPE - Dollars for Scholars felt like a great way to give something back. We are hosting a fundraising event on April 20. Registration costs $60 per person and includes food (catered from CRAVE), drinks, and silent auction. The event will be a great time and is a fun excuse to get dressed up and head out for the evening. All proceeds go toward the scholarships we’ll award."
