Tuition and Financial Aid

The Totino-Grace community recognizes the commitment and sacrifice students and families make to receive a Catholic education, and we realize the value in having an economically diverse student population. Therefore, our goal is to help our students and families meet the cost of a great education.

As part of our Lasallian Mission, Totino-Grace awards more than $1,500,000 in financial aid to help students and families seeking a TG education. For 2014-2015, over 39 percent of the student body will receive financial aid.

Tuition for the 2015-16 school year is $13,900. There is a $300 registration fee and $400 technology fee for the 1:1 Technology Program. Tuition covers the following:

  • Books and classroom materials (including art and industrial arts)
  • All participation fees and costs for sports and activities
  • Free admission to ALL sporting events, concerts, and plays held at Totino-Grace
  • All professional guidance and special needs learning services
  • Parking

Financial Aid and Tuition Aid Data Services

Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) is the company used by the Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese to help distribute Archdiocesan funds, as well as funds from the individual high schools. TADS processes every family's application and determines the relative need of each family. The Totino-Grace financial aid committee uses this information to distribute the financial aid funds available in the most equitable way possible. There is a $34 processing fee required to apply for financial aid. Financial aid applications through TADS are due by February 1st. Award notification by Totino-Grace will be in late February or early March. Applications received after February 1 will be subject to availability of aid.

(NOTE: TADS does not give grants or scholarships; they process the forms and provide schools with a tool for allocating their own financial aid.)

Those interested in obtaining a grant must fill out and submit a TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) form. You can complete this easily online: Online TADS Application [school code: 23326]

Tuition Assistance Programs

Student Work Study
Opportunities are available to all students attending Totino-Grace High School to work on campus during the academic year and over the summer to help offset tuition costs. Priority will be given to students with financial need, but all students may apply and be part of the program.

The Eagle Foundation
The Eagle Foundation program allows parents and guardians to earn money to apply directly to their tuition account by working concessions at TCF Stadium for Vikings and Gopher games as well as opportunities at Target Field.

We have partnered with to offer a scrip gift card program to all of our current and prospective families. The concept is simple: you purchase gift cards for face value from Totino-Grace and our school then earns a percentage rebate from that gift card purchase. For every rebate earned, 80% of the cost will be applied directly to your student's tuition account and 20% will be allocated to general support of the school.

Totino-Grace is committed to helping make a Catholic high school education accessible for all those who are interested.

Are there any income limits when applying for aid?

There are no income limits to applying for assistance. Each family's unique financial situation is considered when assessing need.

What are some of the factors in addition to income used in determining aid?

The TADS application covers information such as income, home value, number of dependents, tuition payments for all children, other assets and liabilities. TADS will require your federal tax return, and if applicable, will require business tax returns. The information will allow TADS to accurately determine your family's need which remains the basis of our grants. The Totino-Grace financial aid committee will use TADS to help determine financial aid grants.

Is my personal information shared with any organizations other than TADS?

All information is held strictly confidential and is not shared or disseminated in any way with any other organizations except Totino-Grace.

When will I be notified if my student has been awarded assistance?

The deadline for applying is February 1, 2014. Financial aid award letters will be sent out in late February or early March. Financial aid applications received after February 1 will be determined by availability of aid.

How can I justify spending money on high school tuition that could be set aside for college?

Studies show the impact and value of a secondary education on the intellect and character of a young person far exceed that of a college education and are more enduring. Our hope is that Totino-Grace graduates will have greater college choices as well as the maturity and motivation to take full advantage of what college has to offer them
