Statement of Philosophy
As moderators and coaches in the Totino-Grace activities department, we
commit to working together for the good of each student and to the
collective success of all programs at Totino-Grace High School.
Recognizing that students’ primary purpose at T-G is to learn in the
midst of a faith-filled and service-oriented community, all coaches and
moderators strive to communicate clearly and effectively with one
another, with students, and with students’ families regarding their
involvement in our programs. We understand that priorities exist in
regards to student involvement in multiple activities and sports at
Totino-Grace and because of the age and ability of our students we work
to help students understand the challenges and conflicts that arise in
regards to striving for excellence in the various programs in which our
students choose to participate. As moderators and coaches, our
understanding of equity and excellence concerns itself with honoring
each student’s potential to thrive through performance, competition,
rehearsal, training, and participation in all of our activities.
